InLeBronWeTrust Represents At Cavs vs. Hawks Game in Atlanta

Yesterday, I was able to snag a last-minute ticket to the Cavs/Hawks game here in Atlanta. Let’s just say this: the seats were good. The game? Not so much.

The problem wasn’t the embarrassing beatdown the Hawks backups dished out to the Cavs reserves.

It wasn’t even so much that LeBron, Shaq, Mo Williams, Mike Bibby, Joe Johnson, Al Horford and Jamal Crawford didn’t play.

No, it all started when the Philips Arena “guest services” people confiscated my sign (ABOVE) before the game even started. I begged. I pleaded. But I was in hostile territory, and the “guest services” people won in the end.

When they took that sign, they took away part of what it means to be a fan. InLeBronWeTrust has always been about having fun with an industry (read: the NBA) that some people take way too seriously.

Good thing Atlanta’s 11Alive News sports anchor Randy Waters was there to catch all the shenanigans (including the sign) on camera.

In other news, Charles Barkley (my other hero) sounds like he’s jumped on the InLeBronWeTrust bandwagon.

I am going to be crushed if LeBron James does not stay in Cleveland.

Me too, Chuck. Me too.

In other other news, the Cleveland Plain Dealer did a follow-up InLeBronWeTrust story yesterday. You can read the whole thing here.

Check back tonight or tomorrow for the next InLeBronWeTrust video. 11Alive News Atlanta will be sponsoring the “LeBron Head Shave” challenge TODAY!

Oh, here’s a photo of the makeshift sign I MacGyvered to replace the awesome one.
